Therapy sessions: The immediate family members of persons living with special needs require psychological interventions to address their mental health needs that emerge while giving care under stressful and challenging times.
Caregiver training: persons living with special needs require special attention while meeting their needs and this requires knowledge and understanding that is not available to everyone. Without these skills it can be frustrating to the caregivers hence the need to be equipped with the right skills to be adequate and effective in caregiving.

At the society level still looks at individuals with them as undesirable and so they are excluded from the social gatherings and events. This narrative has to be changed through advocating for and inviting members of the community to play a role in incorporating those with special needs in the social space. Families with individuals with special needs must be advocated for and given opportunities that enhance their wellbeing socially and economically.
